8 Similarities Between Encanto And Other Disney Movies
Encanto has been an absolute hit for Disney and part of the reason for the movie’s success is how different it is from all of the movies that came before it. Encanto subverted expectations and tropes, provided a whole new setting for a Disney animated feature, had the first protagonist with glasses, dropped the whole romantic plot line and opted to go with a softer ensemble beat instead of melodical power ballads. But just because Encanto is different in many ways to other Disney movies, doesn’t mean it also doesn’t have similarities, and in many ways Encanto is part of a current trend with the films that the House of Mouse are pumping out.
In this video we will take a look at (more or less) every similarity between Encanto and other movies in Disney’s library. From the theme of a home in danger and the central protagonist having to embark on a journey to save it before time runs out, the use of magic and how it is dwindling and in danger, the power of family and the importance of unity in turbulent times, the idea of one of the characters being a black sheep who is isolated from the others, a lack of a stereotypical evil villain and primary antagonist, the killer soundtrack (which was provided by a frequent Disney collaborator), a goofy and loveable animal sidekick and even a feature that actually made it different. These are all the similarities (that we caught) between Encanto and other Disney movies.

The Flash: Everything You Need To Know
WIth characters like seem like it with characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman grabbing all the attention as the Holy Trinity of DC Comics, but it could be argued that of all the members of the Justice League, the affable and well meaning Barry Allen, the Flash, might be the most important character in DC Comicis and the DC Extended Universe. All the way back in 1961 Barry Allen’s Flash introduced the concept of the multiverse and comic book and superhero stories have never been the same. For all the problems that being able to retell or reset stories in another universe solved, it brought with it its own complexities so it’s only fitting that it would be the Flash that would come along and clean up the multiverse mess…mostly by making an even bigger mess and having to clean that up. That’s the premise behind Flashpoint that set up the New 52 company wide relaunch of the DC titles. That story played out on the CW as part of the Arrowverse but now it’s bringing its reset magic to the big screen as movie Flash takes a crack and running to the past to save his mom and exonerate his dad. Of course with disastrous consequences. Are there any other kind? We’ll explore what the Flash has done to and for the multiverse and how that is set up to reshape the DC Universe and the ripples that will be felt in every movie after it. Who are you looking forward to seeing in the upcoming Flash? Let us know in the comments and while you’re there be sure to like and subscribe for the latest videos in your inbox.

Peacemaker: Ending & Season 2 Set-Up Explained
Peacemaker’s first season has finally wrapped with some explosive set up for the future so let’s get into it. In this video we’re going over the ending, what it could potentially mean for the broader DCEU and what could happen in the recently confirmed season 2. Because Peacemaker doesn’t have a lot to draw from, which is probably one reason why James Gunn came up with the whole Butterfly thing to give Peacemaker a threat that can be totally his own, most likely season 2 will have even more original character’s and plotlines. With the rumors of the DCEU getting rebooted through all the time travel shenanigans of the Flash movie, Peacemaker might not even be in the same universe next time we see him so there’s a lot of possibilities for potential team ups and crossovers if that’s the direction they want to go in.
Peacemaker’s really made a name for himself in just a few short months since The Suicide Squad’s release so it’ll be exciting to see if he can keep up with his new found fame. Who knows, maybe he’ll even have to back up all of his Batman slander.
Peacemaker’s gotten a new comic this year and although only the first issue is out at the time of this video, there may be somethings incorporated into it like Peacemaker getting some psychiatric help since… ya know, the whole dad thing. Let us know what you want to see out of a potential season 2 and don’t forget to do all that YouTube stuff like liking the video, subscribing and hitting that notification bell. Or don’t I’m not your dad.

All Of Us Are Dead: Behind The Scenes Secrets
We’re not done with zombies yet. The revival of the classic movie monster is going strong, like a horde of unstoppable zombies in fact with another hit zombie drama this time coming out of Korea. Hot on the heels of the runaway success of the surrealistic Squid Game audiences have been watching the adventures of private school students as they fight off the zombie hordes without any adult supervision. Romances are romanced, rivalries are rivaled, undead people eat soon to be dead people, scientists stare at data wondering if they can do anything about it all, and of course buckets and buckets of bloody gore. The survival drama that’s running justifying your Netflix subscription sustains the stress of running and waiting for rescue and having rescue denied for 12 pulse pounding episodes. What does it take to keep the tension high as well as have all the human adolescent drama that goes with being a teenager even when your former classmates want to put you on the menu? The series based on a webtoon has been carefully guided by its director Lee J. Q. who has had some specific ideas about how to maintain the realism in a situation that is inherently unrealistic…we hope. From casting actors so new that they haven’t quit their day jobs yet to filming a massive set piece with dozens of actors in one take a lot of thought went into this latest addition of the undead genre. What was your favorite part of the series? Let us know in the comments and while you’re there be sure to like and subscribe for the latest in your inbox.

10 Unknown Batman Gadget Facts You Didn’t Know
With Matthew Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s The Batman approaching its March 4th 2022 release date, it’s time to dig into the secrets of all the gadgets the Dark Knight is hiding in that bottomless utility belt. Yes, whether it’s batropes, grapple guns, batarangs, smoke capsules, gas pellets, explosives, tasers, and much much (MUCH) more, gadgets are part of what makes the Caped Crusader great, and why, even after Batmen like Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Kevin Conroy, and others, we still can’t wait for Robert Pattinson to don the batsuit.
But what’s really interesting about Batman’s gadgets is how they’ve evolved over time. At first, Batman was going to be just like The Shadow, carrying guns and killing his enemies. But thanks to early DC Comics editor Whit Ellsworth, the Dark Knight took a different route, and if the hero wasn’t going to carry guns, well, he’d need SOMETHING to subdue his targets, and thus the bat-gadgets were born.
Every different iteration of the character brings something new to the character’s inventory. Tim Burton’s films famously first introduced the grapple gun as we know it today. Christopher Nolan normalized the bat-glider and cape becoming one and the same. What will Matt Reeves’ film bring to Bruce Wayne’s arsenal? We’ve got some ideas, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Peacemaker: Every DC Reference You Missed
Coming from the hilarious (and sometimes disturbing) mind of James Gunn, it is no surprise that the Peacemaker series is full of laughs, gore, great music, kooky ensemble characters, heart and references to the comic books and other movies in general. In fact there are so many references to just the comic books alone that there is plenty of material to make a video on just all the Easter Eggs and call backs to DC and the DCEU. So, that’s exactly what we did!
In this video we are going to take a look at all of the DC references you might have missed and some that admittedly you would have caught but we want to put in there anyway. From images of obscure supervillains hidden on dartboards in the background, posters of characters yet to be seen in live action, call back to DCs history and glory days, references to one of their biggest and greatest heroes – Batman, references to a number of villains that you likely wouldn’t have heard of, name drops of some truly bizarre heroes (that I now really want to see in live action), all of the comic references with Peacemaker’s gadgets, the differing history between two main characters in the show, a possible reference to a super ape, the introduction of a fictional country and of course call backs to James Gunn’s first DC outing – The Suicide Squad. So, let’s take a look at all things DC as we look at every reference to take place in the Peacemaker series.
What did you make of this video? Are you a fan of the show? Are there any references that we missed? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to like and subscribe to the channel today for all this and more.

Peacemaker: DC’s Push In The Right Direction
Peacemaker has been a standout hit and to celebrate what I hope is a serious change with the DCEU, we’re making a different type of video about what makes it so different from DC’s other projects so spoilers if you haven’t caught up to at least episode 7.
The only thing that we can hopefully say for sure is that the positive press surrounding Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad since theyre so similar shows that DC is making better choices when it comes to the direction they’re going in. The Flash is pretty iffy to me, The Batman isn’t in the DCEU so it doesn’t count but Black Adam has both Hawkman and Dr. Fate in it which is dope but again, comes back to the problem we just talked out but… and this is a big but… maybe just maybe they won’t make the same mistakes…
Now at the time of this video going up, there’s still one episode left so maybe the show couldn’t stick the landing and almost everything that I said in this video aged like unpasteurized alien cow liquids but the other 7 episodes show that DC is finally on a much less generic and trash path so hopefully, they continue to go up from here.
While you’re looking at this wonderful text, don’t forget to do all the YouTube stuff like liking the video, subscribing and hitting that notification bell so you don’t miss any new videos. Maybe even share this one with your friends if you liked it. Or even if you hated it, still share it, engagement is engagement either way.
