It’s always exciting when a superhero movie is released to see how the characters in them are going to look in live action. In a lot of cases, they look fantastic. Ben Affleck’s Batman, Ryan Reynolds’ most recent Deadpool, Robert Downey, Jr.’s Iron Man and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki all looked great, for example – but that’s not always the case. Whether it’s because they were vastly different from the classic costumes seen in the comic books, or because the actors hated wearing them, or because the fans just didn’t take to them at all, costumes in superhero movies have been the source of a lot of controversy over the years. That applies to both heroes and villains and this video will take a look at some prime examples. Here are ten famous superhero movies that got the costumes all wrong.

Cuba has a prolific Olympic boxing record, and yet the country doesn’t allow female boxers to go to the Olympics. Namibia Flores Rodriguez is a female Cuban boxer. She’s trained every day for years, readying herself for when that ban is lifted, with the single objective to represent Cuba and become an Olympic champion. She’s faced every stereotype that a woman who wants to box can face. This short documentary by Maceo Frost tells her story of hope and dedication. Directed by Maceo Frost. Produced by Made by Forest. Service Production Company: Cubana Production.
