1973 – 1981 FIA, IMSA GT, GTX, AAGT, GTU Cars – Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion
Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion presented by Michelin attracts some of the rarest cars and gives some 550 owners the chance to compete in their vintage race cars against cars from the same era and class. It’s the only place in the world where you can expect to see a $40 millon 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO square-off against a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette.
While the largest chunk of cars participating will be sports cars and prototypes from the 1960s and 1970s, there is tremendous variety. Get there early enough, and you can see cars from Pre-1940 battle it out on Laguna Seca’s famed corkscrew turn, sporting wooden wheels that flex and groan over bumps and through corners.
