Natural methane is bubbling up from the middle of the Earth all around the world, and this man is uncovering some of its mysteries. National Geographic Explorer Jeff Marlow is working to understand the ways of a strange deep-sea world. Marlow, a geobiologist, analyzes sediment from the ocean floor that contains secrets to forces that are shaping our planet. Around the ocean’s many seeps of methane gas live colonies of microbes that feed on the methane. The gas is a significant contributor to the greenhouse effect. Observing the interaction between the tiny life forms and their unusual food source adds to the understanding of natural climate factors.

Have you ever wondered: Is It Possible To Freeze Anti-Freeze? Can liquid nitrogen freeze antifreeze? Can you transform anti freeze liquid into a solid? TKOR has done some random experiments in the past and in this video, we’re just experimenting if it is possible to freeze anti-freeze. What will happen to the solution? Will the liquid actually change if we apply liquid nitrogen to the solution? We dive into the chemistry of antifreeze. We also have some other fun tests we performed. Hopefully this gives you an idea as to what can or can’t be experimented with antifreeze. It started as a curious experiment with ocean water, but we got something different than we were expecting.

This entertaining antifreeze experiment is perfect for those wanting to know: can you turn regular antifreeze into something cool, is it possible to freeze antifreeze, what does liquid nitrogen do to antifreeze, how to make teenage mutant ninja turtle slime, ASFR freeze, what happens to antifreeze coolant when frozen, and can you drink antifreeze?

Technology can create richer learning environments and improve learning outcomes, but not all students are equally benefiting from these advances.

To help more children reach their full potential, Google.org is supporting Learning Equality, a nonprofit organization building educational software for communities with low internet connectivity. Its work in Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, is giving more children a chance to get a better education.

It’s all part of Google.org’s global education initiative which is investing $50 million over the next two years to support nonprofits who are building tech-based learning solutions.

A new survey has found Adélie penguin numbers in East Antarctica to be nearly six million, double previous estimates. Past surveys have been based only on breeding pairs, so the increase could be attributed at least partly to counting non-breeding penguins, which tend to be out foraging at sea. While the news of the large Adélie population may be cause for celebration, scientists warn that shrinking ice and warming waters could threaten penguin habitat and prey availability in the long term.
