Who are the attackers behind the Sri Lankan bombings?

More than 200 people were killed in deliberate attacks that targeted worshippers during Easter Sunday services in Sri Lanka.

So far police say seven arrests have been made as three officers died during raids.

Officials say the attacks were carried out by religious extremists.

The Queen celebrates 93rd birthday

This year Her Majesty the Queen shared her 93rd birthday with Easter Sunday and therefore made a public appearance on a usually private day.

She marked the double occasion with an annual church service at Windsor Castle accompanied by her family including grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry.

Meanwhile the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle was not in attendance as she is expected to give birth any day.

Britons among at least 290 killed in Sri Lanka

At least five Britons are among those who have been killed in a series of bomb attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter morning.

Attackers deliberately targeted those worshipping in churches as well as in hotels.
