The father of Jack Merritt said he son would not have wanted to see more draconian sentences. Jack was stabbed to death by the attacker.

Corbyn: Terrorists ‘should not necessarily’ serve full jail terms

The Labour leader told Sophy Ridge it was important to look at the progress convicted terrorists had made in being rehabilitated in prison before deciding on whether they should be released early.

He was speaking after it emerged that London Bridge attacker Usman Khan had been freed early.
