Jackie Khor is Associate Director and manager of the Rockefeller Foundations Program Venture Experiment (ProVenEx). ProVenEx is an investment fund within the Foundation that extends loan guarantees and makes program-related and private equity investments to catalyze private sector capital into underserved sectors and geographies.

Jackie is responsible for making and managing ProVenEx investments and private sector partnerships in the following sectors that reflect the Foundation’s thematic programs: agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa, global public health, inner city employment and community development in the US, and the arts and culture. Leslie Jordan Speaks at Google

For such a diminutive (4′ 11″) frame, character actor Leslie Jordan has a tall propensity for scene-stealing. He hails from the South, as his dead-giveaway drawl quickly exposes, and was raised in a highly conservative, deeply religious atmosphere in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Erin McKean, editor and lexicographer for the New Oxford American Dictionary, tells Google the ten things she wishes people knew about dictionaries, how people go about making new words, and how lexicographers use Google.

Erin McKean has wanted to be a lexicographer since she was eight years old. She has a BA and an MA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago, where she wrote her master’s thesis on the treatment of phrasal verbs in children’s dictionaries.
