But being an entrepreneur in the social networking space brings a completely different set of challenges. Rather than the Facebooks and Myspaces, we’ve invited entrepreneurs from lesser-known social software companies, who will talk about their strategies for enabling online community — LinkedIn from a business perspective, BeBo for consumers, and Socialtext for workgroup collaboration. Dyson, a longtime industry observer through her Release 1.0 newsletter and PC Forum conferences, as well as an active investor, will uncover the key success factors in growing a successful social networking startup.

“Think globally, act locally” has for a long time applied to environmental perspective. But with frictionless access to news and analysis from around the world, it’s increasingly relevant to citizens of countries across the globe. Cameron, a Member of Parliament who leads the “loyal opposition,” talks about the ways in which citizens can become more aware and more engaged.

Session Title: The Green Collar Worker
We’re beginning to realize that all of us aren’t just connected by the Internet; we’re connected through the things we produce. McDonough, co-author of the seminal “Cradle to Cradle,” has for years been a passionate advocate of green supply chains and living buildings. In this session, McDonough will discuss examples where companies have completely rethought their entire process of designing and delivering products to ensure they better mimic the natural world around them.

Zeitgeist panelists Larry Brilliant, Majora Carter, John Legend and Christopher Edley discuss “The New Responsibility”. Sustainability is the new skillset. Social justice is the new mindset.
