Day two of Red Bull X-Alps 2011 turned out to be a pretty tough one for all athletes due to poor weather conditions.

While Japanese Kaoru Ogisawa managed to pass the Dachstein turnpoint last night and is on his way to the Grossglockner today, other athletes even had to shelter themselves from snow storms in mountain huts on the massif.

1v1 Basketball qualifiers on Alcatraz – Red Bull King Of The Rock 2011

The one-on-one basketball tournament is ready to tip-off for another round, having grown from six qualifiers on the west coast in 2010 to 54 qualifiers around the globe.

Respect will be earned and feelings will be hurt, but there can be only one King, so out of 64 finalists, only one will be crowned King of the Rock.

Hometown hero Dany Torres grabbed the bull by the horns with a brilliant victory on Friday night against the world’s best freestyle motocross riders in a gala event in Madrid marking the sport’s 10th anniversary at the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas. Spain’s local hero forced his rival Blake Williams (AUS) to his knees in the bullring in front of 25,000 delighted Spanish fans.
