St. Vincent is a new entry in the “Misanthropic Old Man Befriends Alienated Young Boy” genre. A genre that is surprisingly large. Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy bring some extra promise to the cast, but do they redeem or elevate the tired premise?

St. Vincent goes into wide release on October 24th in the US. Are you going to check it out?
