Investigative journalist Bryan Christy takes some time to relax with the young orphaned elephants at the Ithumba Release Camp in Kenya’s Tsavo East National Park. Much to his delight, the younger elephants are friendly and accepting of Christy, and they escort him to meet a herd of wild adults.

في هذا الموسم من افتح يا سمسم، الذي سيقدمه كل من أمل وراشد، ستكون هناك مفاجآت كثيرة، منها: استضافة دمى “”Sesame Street”” الشهيرة في الحلقات، ليضيفوا الكثير إلى حياة الأطفال، من خلال تعزيز أنماط الحياة الصحية، وتطوير مهاراتهم، وعلاقاتهم الاجتماعية، وتحصيلهم الدراسي، كما سيحظى حي “”افتح يا سمسم”” باستضافة نجوم من المجتمع المحلي والعربي لتعزيز المفاهيم السابقة.
نبذة عن البرنامج وشخصيات افتح يا سمسم:
افتح يا سمسم هو مسلسل تلفزيوني، ترفيهي تربوي وتعليمي مبتكر صُمّم بطريقة ممتعة ومحفزة، تنمي قدرات الأطفال المعرفية، وتعزز مهاراتهم اللازمة مبكرًا لبناء مفردات لغتهم العربية، والقراءة والكتابة، وضمان تحقيق الأهداف التربوية الخاصة بـ””افتح يا سمسم””.
الموسم الأول: يركز على الصحة والسلامة من خلال بناء مفردات الطفل على التواصل الفعال. وتعزيز أهمية اللعب البدني، والتعذية الصحية، وممارسة التمرينات، وشرب الماء، وغسل اليدين، واللعب في الهواء الطلق. كما يرسخ مفاهيم السلامة في المنزل وخارجه
الموسم الثاني: سيركز على استكشاف مفردات ومفاهيم تدول حول الحقول العلمية المعرفية، (العلم والتكنولوجيا، والهندسة والرياضيات).
حي افتح يا سمسم: يعكس حي “”افتح يا سمسم”” جمال وتنوع منطقة الخليج العربي، من البحر الهائج الى الكثبان والتلال الرملية. مركز الحياة في الحي هو ساحة اللعب في الهواء الطلق، التي تدعو الأطفال لأن يكونوا نشطين حركياً، وتشجع الإبداع والخيال. ساحة اللعب في “”افتح يا سمسم”” هي موطن شخصيات الدمى الممتعة والمحبوبة: نعمان، وشمس، وملسون، وغرغور، الذين يرحبون بالأطفال في عالم من التعلم والمرح واللعب.

Mexican sushi might sound like a made-up term, but we can assure you that it’s a real cuisine coming out of East LA (with origins in the Sinaloa region of Mexico). We visit Culichi Town in Bell Gardens, a restaurant considered the leader and originator of Mexican sushi, to see what they are all about. From deep fried crab and shrimp rolls to a live Norteño band to covering almost everything in cream cheese, this is definitely not your typical sushi restaurant by any means. Take note, because their head chef believes Mexican sushi will soon take over the US.
