What’s 19 feet tall, took 5,000 hours to build, and was a gift from ancient Greece? Troy the Trojan horse! Part of the National Geographic Museum’s newest exhibition, “The Greeks: Agamemnon to Alexander the Great,” this larger-than-life replica weighs more than 3,700 pounds and journeyed from Chicago to Washington, D.C. On arrival, it took two days to assemble. During the summer of 2016, Troy will be on display in the courtyard of the National Geographic Museum, where guests can also experience magnificent artifacts representing over 5,000 years of Greek history and culture.
