For years, video game developers have done their best to always put out the most interesting, game-changing (no pun intended) products that people will talk about for years to come. Unfortunately sometimes even the best ideas need to be cut to ensure the game can come out on time.
Banjo-Kazooie, the beloved 3D platformer for the N64, used to have a way to exchange items between different game cartridges!
Bioshock Infinite shared gameplay many times in it’s 5 year development cycle, but it seemed like every time we saw the game it looked different and some ideas never made it to the final game.
The original Pokemon game at one time allowed you to fight Professor Oak, but at the last minute the battle was cut.
With the success of Super Mario Bros, Nintendo decided to make two different sequels, one for Japan and one for the rest of the world.
Microsoft’s massive franchise, Halo, was almost a real time strategy game and was only being looked at as a game being releasing on PC and MAC.
The Super Smash Brothers series has had a wide variety of fighters from across the gaming world, but not every character gets to make a return in the sequels.
The new Star Wars Battlefront was forced to cut it’s single-player story in an effort to release the game in time for film, The Force Awakens.
The writers of Destiny were shut down after the bosses at Bungie disliked their story, but only had a year left to write a new one.
The first 3D Mario game was going to have multiplayer where the second player could be Luigi.
Overwatch was the result of developer Blizzard’s failure to create a new MMO they had been working on for seven years.

There are some pretty wild fan theories that have been floating around the Toy Story trilogy. We’ll fill you in.

Supposedly Andy’s toys are immortals and the only way to die is by being burned or crushed. Toy Story 3 is pretty dark and people have speculated several theories about the film saying that is has undertones of Marxism, it has referenced the Illuminati, and also parallels the toys as victims of the holocaust. Buzz was given credit to creating the toys into a pyramid with himself on top. Lotso was seen as an evil dictator who would incinerate toys, or put them in jail if they were out of line. The toys were split in half between the ruling and working classes.

One happier part of Toy Story 3 was the fact that we caught a glimpse of a garbageman that could have been none other than Sid Phillips. Did you notice the white skull on his shirt?

Someone else has theorized that The Walking Dead was based on the Toy Story movies seeing as both of the main heroes are sheriffs and they each lead a group bound by fate.

Jon Lasseter created an innovative movie for the time with Toy Story when back then, Disney wanted to stick to hand-drawn animation. The story is supposed to be an allegory of Jon Lasseter’s time with Disney as they transitioned into the world of computer animation.

Did you ever wonder what happened to Andy’s dad? Supposedly he died of polio and left Andy his toys. Another theory is that Andy’s parents are getting a divorce. Well, what did you think of this list?
