A Futile and Stupid Gesture is the story of comedy wunderkind Doug Kenney, who co-created the National Lampoon, Caddyshack, and Animal House. Kenney was at the center of the 70’s comedy counter-culture which gave birth to Saturday Night Live and a whole generation’s way of looking at the world.

During the holiday season, everyone wants the latest and greatest piece of tech or the newest toy on the market. Video games and consoles are usually at the top of everyone’s list and for good reason. They provide hours of entertainment and are fun for the whole family. That is, unless your Great Aunt Phyllis buys you some outdated Tamagotchi that she considers a “video game”.
The Gamer gets it. Staying on top of the latest video game releases and trends can be difficult. Back in our day, kids wanted a Power Glove and that was it! Ok, maybe they wanted the Dream Cast, but their parents weren’t made of money. While getting a gift at all is nice, it’s even nicer when it’s a gift you can use or a gift you really wanted. There’s nothing worse than opening a gift that has to be returned because your grandparents thought Nintendo Switch meant a light switch cover.
We, here at The Gamer, decided to make things a little easier for you. Instead of listing the game you should buy, we’ve opted to list the games you definitely should NOT buy for your kids this holiday season. From terrible controls to contrived plots and video game developer cash grabs, these are games that were outdated even on the day of their release. Literally, no one wanted any of these games, yet here they are so someone obviously bought them. Repeat after us: Game of the Year. That’s really all you need to know when it comes to buying the coolest games for your kids. Here are The Gamer’s 10 Games No Kid Would Want To Receive on Christmas!
