Gamers should start to get excited for the future of the video game industry and we’ve compiled a bunch of reasons why. The last decade has offered us things like portable gaming and the ability to step into virtual reality within the comfort of our own home so just imagine what the next decade will bring.
Loot boxes won’t be going away anytime soon. In fact, we might just have to get used to the idea of having them around for awhile. Microtransactions are a way to make a game seem cheaper than it really is, but the price of video game titles hasn’t actually increased over time. Taking inflation into account, prices have stayed relatively stagnant by including microtransactions like loot boxes. We might want to argue about them, but just look how amazing the graphics of games today are…those certainly don’t come free.Also, cryptocurrency might soon be part of the video game market, but it’s a good thing most gamers already know how to buy virtual items with real money because it’ll make gaming cryptocurrency that much easier to use because cryptocurrency doesn’t come with a manual.
Augmented reality and virtual reality are also in really exciting stages right now. Imagine being able to use your real environment to play video games and step into completely new worlds. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two technologies! Especially if the future includes VR arcades and parks where you can hop on a VR ride and be transported to a new world.
Let’s explore some of the amazing things the future holds for video games because there’s a lot to cover. Seriously, we might need to take a nap before we delve into the adventure.
