Donald Trump issued a proclamation ordering the National Guard to go to the border to help the fight against illegal immigration. The move comes at a very interesting time because in February, Trump tweeted about a 45-year low in illegal border crossings. So even though border crossings are at the lowest they’ve been since 1971, he’s sending in the National Guard. Why he’s doing this, we don’t know. So to try to make some sense of it, it’s time for a special illegal immigration edition of Barista Theatre.
