The incredibly powerful and villainous Thanos is currently kicking some serious superhero butt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War.
The intergalactic warlord and despot – who is also known as the “Mad Titan” – is one of the most powerful supervillains in comics and that has certainly translated well to the big screen.
The brilliant Jim Starlin created the character, who made his first comic book appearance all the way back in 1973 – and Goonies star Josh Brolin looks set to make him one of the most iconic bad guys in cinema with his brilliant live action portrayal.
In this video, we’re going to take you through 25 infinitely cool facts about the prune-chinned purple maniac.
Those facts include things like which cartoons and video games he’s appeared in, how ugly the Mad Titan was as a baby, the vast array of powers he possesses, what his name means, which characters he’s related to (and how), the fact that he celebrates Christmas for the sake of Gamora, the fact that he owns a helicopter with his name on it, the fact that Squirrel Girl once defeated him, and the fact that he has wielded the power of the Heart of the Universe (which is even more powerful than possessing all six Infinity Gems/Stones).

Nintendo is known for being a company striving to make the best video games in the world. They’ll do anything to remain in that number one spot including keeping some dark secrets hidden about an original character in the game.

Miyamoto began his career with the idea he was going to be a toy maker for Nintendo, but he soon became one of the most famous video game designers in the world for the company instead. He created characters who have managed to stay relevant 30 years later in an ever-changing industry. One of his original characters may have had a few dark secrets Nintendo just couldn’t keep under wraps forever.

Pauline claimed Mario’s heart well before Peach ever entered the picture and she did so by getting kidnapped. Donkey Kong was the lovestruck ape who believed Pauline was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on so he had to have her for himself. Of course, Jumpman, aka Mario, couldn’t let his leading lady be taken so easily.

There’s also the fan theory which places Pauline and Jumpman as Mario and Luigi’s parents. We actually want to believe this one as true. After all, why does Mario have an entirely new enemy to battle and a new damsel in distress to save? It only makes sense for this theory to be true.

Pauline was based off of Olive Oyl from Popeye. It wasn’t because Miyamoto had an obsession with the classic cartoon, but it was simply due to the fact that he was supposed to be working on an arcade game with Popeye as the main character. It turned out it would take a few years for Nintendo to acquire the rights so, instead of having all his hard work go to waste, he changed the story and the characters around.

Monsters Inc. still remains one of Pixar’s more inventive films with a great original story and a lot of details to dive into. By breaking the movie down into several elements, we may learn about the monsters and some dark theories on their world. Travel back to the adventures of Mike and Sully as we connect them to all types of crazy stories and adventures.

The Monsters found a new power source in the form of laughter, but how long will the power last for Monstropolis if everything connected to their world will be gone by the time Wall-E comes around?! The Monsters themselves may not actually be monsters but deformed humans who were exposed to radioactive mutation over the years. Sully was one of the strongest monsters in Monsters Inc., but was he murdered after getting caught in a child’s bedroom? There are numerous theories about the character of Boo and one of them involves a connection to The Incredibles and the character of Violet. If Boo isn’t a superhero, then maybe she is a witch, the same witch we saw in the movie Brave. Monsters University is a great story, but was it really just a movie within a movie to tell the positive rise of Mike and Sully? Andy may feel protected by his toys, but does the character actually have a monster of his own and if he does, who is it? When the monsters fear the touch of humans, what are they actually fearing? Clues point to it being the Black Plague among other things. Sid spent a lot of time terrorizing toys, but did he once enter the world of monsters and cause trouble for Boo? Watch to see all these dark theories!
