Over the years, The Simpsons has filled up the town of Springfield with citizens, side characters, and all types of guest stars. Among the most memorable characters out of the Simpsons is Krusty the Clown. Krusty has been around since the beginning of the show and has quite a history in Springfield. We’ve seen the clown dozens of times, but the character continues to hide dark secrets from his fans. These secrets involve the character’s personal life, love life, and some secrets about how to has managed to remain a marginally successful clown over the past 15 or so years.

Everyone knows Krusty as Kursty, but his real name sure is a mouthful. We can’t imagine Krusty even writing his whole name out considering how many years he was illiterate for. Krusty always appears to have clown make-up on his face. While early seasons showed him taking the make-up off, later seasons revealed it was permanently bleached. Even as Krusty runs a TV show and multiple businesses, he still finds time for love…and planning multiple marriages. Between his marriages, Krusty even had time to get another girl pregnant and eventually learned about his daughter Sophie. One of Krusty’s biggest failures in the history of The Simpsons turned into a huge positive for the fans. Krusty was a huge part of the developmental process behind Futurama.
