Eddie Brock and the symbiote Venom have chewed their way to the big screen. In the film, starring Tom Hardy, we see Eddie Brock become one with the symbiote and take on Riot, another alien symbiote. But Venom has a long career of destroying other beings through the comics, and a lot of those moments are pretty nasty. Let’s start off with the most familiar when he took out a certain character from Sam Raimi’s divisive Spider-Man 3. You know what we’re talking about. He then took out Spider-Man himself in the Beyond! series in the comics…or did he? Wilson Fisk is coming back to Daredevil season 3, but he also had a run in with the alien symbiote known as Venom in an alternate reality comic book run. The Life Foundation, the same one from the Hardy film, used the symbiote to create multiple different versions after testing. One of these was Scream. When the hosts eventually died, the symbiotes rallied together with the one survivor and made Hybrid. Eddie Brock was on a crusade to stop the symbiotes and took both of them out, one of them in a pretty sinister manner. But the one you’re most likely here for is for how he ultimately destroyed his other arch-nemesis, the deranged convict known as Carnage. He also drove his ex-wife to the point of no return in a really dark moment. Eddie isn’t the only Venom though and Flash Thompson got to deliver some nasty justice to Hijacker. An alternate reality Venom actually took out the God of Thunder, Thor, himself in one issue that saw him fuse with Deadpool in a new entity called Venompool. He’s finally also taken over the body of Thanos, making him the ultimate source of power.
