Sony finally revealed the PlayStation 5’s controller, the DualSense, and boy is she a beauty! But let’s not forget about Microsoft and their Xbox Series X controller. While it’s not as flashy as the DualSense, it’s an incredible controller in its own right. Now that we’ve seen both the Xbox Series X controller and the PS5 controller, we decided it’s time to compare them to each other and see which one has the edge. Sony and Microsoft went in completely different directions with the controllers for their next-gen consoles, but only one of these controllers can come out on top.

We’re going to be honest with you guys. It looks like the DualSense has the Xbox Series X controller beat. For starters, it has a built-in microphone that’ll allow players to voice chat with others without having to plug in a headset. Now, of course, it’s preferred to use a headset for longer gaming sessions, but the built-in mic will do if you can’t get to a headset or pair of earphones for whatever reason. It also has a rechargeable lithium ion battery as opposed to the Xbox Series X controller’s AA batteries. Yes, they’re still using AA batteries. Luckily, it has an awesome d-pad.

There’s many more differences between the DualSense and Xbox Series X controller than just those so enjoy the video, let us know what you think in the comments section below and don’t forget to subscribe to TheGamer for more gaming content.
