Iain Hutchison: Saving faces
http://www.ted.com Facial surgeon Iain Hutchison works with people whose faces have been severely disfigured. By pushing to improve surgical techniques, he helps to improve their lives; and by commissioning their portraits, he celebrates their humanity. NOTE: This talk contains images of disfigured and badly injured faces that may be disturbing — and Hutchison provides thoughtful answers as to why a disfigured face can shock us so deeply. Squeamish? Hide your screen from 12:10 – 13:19, but do keep listening. Portraits shown in this talk come from Mark Gilbert.

Apple iPad 2 Event will begin at 10AM PST on March 2nd, 2011
In this video I go over the final details and predictions of what to expect for the March 2nd Apple iPad 2 event. Next week Apple is widely expected to released the second generation of the extremely popular iPad tablet. You should expect to see a 1GHz – 1.2GHz Apple A5 dual core processor, either 512MB to 1GB of RAM, a front facing FaceTime HD camera, a rear facing 720p HD camera, a new thinner, tapered design along with perhaps a larger speaker or SD card slot. There also is a possibility of the inclusion of Intel Light Peak technology which would perhaps be branded as Thunderbolt for the Apple iPad 2G. Light Peak / Thunderbolt is a new high speed connection technology that is many times faster than even USB 3.
