Ai Weiwei detained. Here is his TED film

http://www.ted.com The news that Chinese artist Ai Weiwei has been detained by authorities has prompted significant concern here at TED-HQ. We had shown a film of him at last month’s conference, an unexpected and courageous statement about his treatment by the government, social change, the power of the web, and his hope for the future of China. The film, which was shown as Ai Weiwei himself watched live over the web in the middle of the night, prompted a huge standing ovation from the TED audience.

TED is a non-partisan, nonpolitical organization and we understand the Chinese authorities concern at anything which might provoke social unrest. But for anyone who believes in the power of ideas, of human imagination, it is heartbreaking to see one of the world’s great artists shackled in this way. We will be tracking developments carefully. A virtual choir 2,000 voices strong | Eric Whitacre

He talks through the creative challenges of making music powered by YouTube, and unveils the first 2 minutes of his new work, “Sleep,” with a video choir of 2,052. The full piece premieres April 7 (yes, on YouTube!).

Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone 3GS & 4, iPod touch 3G & 4G and iPad Using redsn0w 0.9.6rc9

In this video I give a full tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 using redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 on an iPhone 3GS (new and old bootrom), iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G (16GB and 32GB models only), iPod touch 4G and the original iPad 1. The iPad 2 is not currently supported. redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 is an untethered jailbreak and works for both Mac and Windows.

If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7 then you will need to do an additional step to avoid any problems, errors or issues. Right click redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 and under the Compatibility tab select Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) as well as run it as Administrator.
