Take action on climate change at http://countdown.ted.com.
“History has shown us that in moments of crisis, society can truly transform,” says environmental educator Severn Cullis-Suzuki. Nearly 30 years ago, at just 12 years old, she spoke at the UN’s Earth Summit in hopes of reversing the planet’s slide into ecological disaster. Some at the summit listened and took radical action, but for the rest of the world, it was business, politics and full-steam-ahead economic growth. Now, Cullis-Suzuki shares another warning about the future, this time informed by the COVID-19 crisis — and urges us all to make our actions on climate change reflect our words.
This talk was part of the Countdown Global Launch on 10.10.2020. (Watch the full event here: https://youtu.be/5dVcn8NjbwY.) Countdown is TED’s global initiative to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. The goal: to build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, in the race to a zero-carbon world. Get involved at https://countdown.ted.com/sign-up

AMG knows how to make range-topping supercar. Its Black Series models are the stuff of legend. And this, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, is its latest creation.
Based on the Mercedes-AMG GT-R, the GT Black Series has a lot more power – some 720hp (730hp), which is good enough to propel it from 0-62mph in 3.2sec and onto a top speed of 202mph.
That’s thanks in part to a shift of the fabled 4.0-litre V8, which moves from a cross-plane crank to a flat-plane crank, letting it rev higher. But it’s also down to some astonishing new aerodynamic efficiency, created by the same aerodynamicist who designed the AMG GT GT3 race car.
Priced at £335,000 in the UK, the latest Black Series will be an exclusive sight. We took to the Lausitzring in Germany for a wild ride in AMG’s latest creation.

The #EmptyMan is coming for you. Now On Digital: https://bit.ly/TheEmptyManHE
20th Century Studios’ “The Empty Man” is a supernatural horror film based on a popular series of Boom! Studios graphic novels. After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man. As a retired cop investigates and struggles to make sense of the stories, he discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity, and soon his life—and the lives of those close to him—are in grave danger. Directed by David Prior from a screen story and screenplay by David Prior based on the graphic novel by Cullen Bunn, “The Empty Man” stars James Badge Dale, Marin Ireland, Stephen Root, Ron Canada, Robert Aramayo, Joel Courtney and Sasha Frolova. The film is produced by Ross Richie, p.g.a. and Stephen Christy, p.g.a.
