في عالم خيالي قديم تدور أحداثه في جو من الإثارة والجريمة والرعب تدور أحداث مسلسل العهد في عالم خيالي قديم وفي جو من الإثارة والجريمة والرعب والدراما المخلوطة بالسحر والفانتازيا، حيث تتنافس أكثر من عائلة كبيرة على السلطة والمال في ثلاثة كفور هم كفر القلعة وكفر نطاط الحيط وكفر النسوان، ولا يتورعون جميعا عن فعل أي شيء في سبيل الوصول إلى أهدافهم الدنيوية القذرة، فيكذبون ويسرقون ويقتلون حتى أقرب الناس إليهم. نتابع هذا الصراع الشيق لنرى ماذا سيحدث لجميع الأطراف في النهاية.

بعض البشر يؤمن أن الكون .. صدفة
وجودنا فى الحياة صدفة … كل شىء حولنا … كان صدفة

ولكن هل لك أن تعرف

لو كانت الكرة الأرضية أصغر حجماً مما هي لضعفت جاذبيتها و لأفلت الهواء من داخلها و تبعثر في الفضاء و لتبخر الماء و تبدد و لأصبحت جرداء مثل القمر لا ماء و لا هواء و لاستحالت الحياة بها

لو كانت أكبر حجماً مما هي لازدادت قوتها الجاذبة و لأصبحت الحركة على سطحها أكثر مشقة و لازداد وزن كل منا أضعافاً ولأصبح جسده عبئاً ثقيلاً لا يمكن تحمله

لو أن الأرض دارت حول نفسها بسرعة أقل كسرعة القمر مثلاً لإستطال النهار إلى 14 يوماً و الليل إلى 14 ليلة و لتقلب الجو من حر مهلك بطول أسبوعين إلى صقيع قاتل بطول أسبوعين و لأصبحت الحياة مستحيلة

لو أن الأرض اقتربت في فلكها من الشمس مثل حال الزهرة لأهلكتنا الحرارة .. و لو أنها ابتعدت في مدارها مثل زحل و المشتري لأهلكنا البرد

لو كانت قشرة الأرض أكثر سُمكاً لامتصت الأكسجين و لو كانت البحار أعمق لامتصت المياه الزائدة ثاني أكسيد الكربون ولما وجد النبات كفايته ليعيش و يتنفس

و لو كان الغلاف الهوائي أقل كثافة لأحرقتنا النيازك و الشهب المتساقطة بدلاً من أن تُستَهلك هذه الشهب و تتفتت في أثناء اختراقها للغلاف الهوائي الكثيف

و لو زادت نسبة الأكسجين عمّا هي عليه حالياً في الجو لازدادت القابلية للاحتراق و لتحوّلت الحرائق البسيطة إلى انفجارات هائلة و لو انخفضت لاستحال نشاطنا إلى خمول

فما لكم كيف تحكمون .. ؟

يجسد (خالد الصاوي) دور شيال فقير يقيم في أحد الحواري بمنطقة عشوائية، ثم ينتقل للعمل في قصر أحد رجال الأعمال والتجار الكبار في مصر _ يجسد دوره الفنان (حسن حسني)_، ثم تقع ابنه رجل الأعمال في حب شخصية (خالد الصاوي) علي الرغم من انها متزوجة من شخصية مهمة ايضًا.
