يتناول المسلسل قضية الصراع الإنساني على السلطة وإستعداد البعض للتضحية وإنتهاك المقدسات من أجل السلطة، وذلك من خلال صراع عائلي في قرية ما، وبيان أسباب الصراع وأطرافه، ومزجها في إطار من الخيال مع القصص والأساطير القديمة.
