The excitement for Avengers: Infinity War is now practically palpable. It’s really just around the corner, guys!
The nineteenth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will bring together every superhero in the franchise in order to combat the threat of the intergalactic warlord Thanos and his allies, as the purple-faced Mad Titan collects the Infinity Stones and becomes an all-powerful god.
The movie has been set-up for ten years – ever since Iron Man first hit our screens – and it’s set to be one of the most epic Hollywood offerings of all time. This video will run you through just some of the occasions it was referenced in the eighteen movies that have come before it.
The entries are; the (fake) Infinity Gauntlet appearing in Odin’s trophy room in 2011’s Thor, Thanos appearing in the mid-credits scene of 2012’s The Avengers, Erik Selvig’s chalkboard notes in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, the Collector’s mid-credits appearance in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, Thanos’ big speech in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, the Collector’s explanation of the Infinity Stones in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Tony Stark’s Scarlet Witch-induced vision in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor’s mystically induced vision in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Steve Rogers’ emotional letter to Tony Stark at the end of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, and Thanos’ huge ship (Santuary II) appearing in the mid-credits scene of 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. The Pokemon franchise is intended for children. The main character in every game is a child setting out into the world to catch fantastic creatures in order to become the best pokemon trainer in the world. It’s an adorable game that lets children live out their fantasies of gathering all the pets they possibly can. Even the battle sequences are tame compared to other games and, for the most part, there is nothing too horrific in any Pokemon game that would scar children for life; other than Team Rocket and Gary, that is.

Then there are fan theories which, if true, would entirely change the game and it’s overall themes. A lot of the theories revolve around the population of Pokemon regions; as in, why are there so few middle aged people and why do a lot of these children not have fathers? There are also some theories that bring into question the origin stories of certain Pokemon that don’t fit with the canon. In fact, with some of these theories, fans may be wondering if the game is as child friendly as they originally thought.

Nevertheless, none of these theories have been confirmed. However, some of them definitely came about due to the rampant mysteries in the Pokemon universe. There are a lot of unexplained things throughout the franchise and some fans are bound to theorize over any number of them. If any of these theories do turn out to be true, it will definitely change how fans look at the franchise.
