Why are BAME IVF uptake rates so low?

Cultural and social stigmas mean the number of women from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds taking up IVF treatment in the UK is very low.

But things are changing – albeit slowly.

Sky News can reveal there were roughly 1000 more women who accessed the treatment in 2018, compared to 2013.
