Tomb Raider is back on the big screen again and the reboot has a lot to enjoy. Between the non-stop action and origin story of the character, there are a lot of moments and details to pay attention to. Don’t worry, though, we have everything covered between Easter eggs, game connections, and connections to other movies.

Mid-way through the movie, Lara’s parachute jump causes a devastating branch to impale her in her side. The scene is very similar to the opening of the 2013 game where Lara falls down and gets a branch impaled on her side. Lara Croft has done all types of kills in the games, but we get to see a more human side of Lara when she commits her first human death in the movie. The scene is similar to the games and actually adds more depth to mindless killings. If you were ecstatic to see Lara Croft return to the big screen, then you don’t have to wait much longer for another appearance. In just a few weeks, Lara Croft makes her cinematic return for Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One. As Lara ventures out to find her father, the Endurance ship she rides on is suddenly hit with a giant wave. The wave may familiar to the film’s director given his history with them. Lara Croft finds love for the bow and arrow in Tomb Raider, but she upgrades to some bigger weapons towards the end of the movie. The dual handguns are a signature choice for the character and have been around since the original game. Watch to see all of these important things and several others you missed!
