Watching a spectacle like Star Wars: The Last Jedi includes a lot of surprises, details, and fast-paced action. This may cause you to miss some of the smaller details included in the movie. With rich scenes and so many characters, The Last Jedi is filled with references to the original Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars video games, and to actors like Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

During our introduction to Finn, we see him strapped up to a bacta suit. The body-healing suit is an obvious upgrade from Luke Skywalkers Bacta tank. Luke’s trademark green lightsaber from Return of the Jedi makes a return during a surprising flashback scene. Little details like Luke’s burn scar and Kylo’s scar add some nice homages to other Star Wars film. An alien critter is inspired by Carrie Fisher’s pet dog. Finn and Rose search for the Master Codebreaker, played by a famous actor and screenwriter. There are no Ewoks in The Last Jedi, but an actor who played one does have a cameo. Slowen Lo’s casino character is played by Joseph-Gordon Levitt. Colored milk makes a huge return in the form of Luke’s island. Rogue One director Gareth Edwards plays one of the Resistance troopers ready for a fight. Frank Oz plays the role of Yoda and returns to the big screen again. Rey lifts rocks to save the Resistance fighters in a moment that feels oddly similar to Luke’s training. Luke loves to hide his X-Wing underwater and does the same while living on the small island. Snoke’s throne room is very similar to the same room found in the Empire Strikes Back. Watch to see all these Last Jedi Easter Eggs and several more!
