About 15 years ago, #Infiniti was at a high point, known by the media and consumers as the Japanese BMW. Today, the company has fallen far from their high point and is struggling to maintain relevance to not only other luxury brands, but even to some vehicles from parent company, Nissan. The 2021 #InfinitiQX50 was designed to become the brand’s best-seller in the always hot compact luxury SUV segment. The redesigned 2nd-generation #QX50 moved to a FWD platform shared with the Nissan Rogue but powered by the new #VCTurbo engine from the Nissan Altima. This world first variable compression engine was designed to combine the best of both worlds with power and efficiency, but it never really lived up to both, while the dated interior layout of the latest QX50 makes you wonder when Infiniti is going to make enough changes to turn things around. Luckily, that should be happening in the next couple of years.
