The bad guys in the Marvel Cinematic Universe haven’t always been great – in fact, they were extremely problematic up until very recently – but one thing they have always been is very powerful.
In this video, we’ll take you through the villains we believe are the ten most powerful ones in MCU movies.
It should be noted that Thanos and his Black Order will not be included here. While they’re certainly expected to be incredibly powerful in the MCU, we haven’t seen enough of them to describe exactly what they’re going to be capable of yet.
Also, characters who had implied power but who never actually displayed any – such as the Grandmaster – won’t be considered for inclusion.
The villains we’re including in the list are; Iron Man 3’s Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), Doctor Strange’s Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen), The Incredible Hulk’s Abomination (Tim Roth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston) from Thor, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Ultron (James Spader), Thor: The Dark World’s Kurse (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Thor: Ragnarok’s Hela (Cate Blanchett), Thor: Ragnarok’s Surtur (Clancy Brown), Doctor Strange’s Dormammu (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell).
