PS5: More Surprises

The PS5 controller will outperform the last gen’s by a whopping 50%! We just got word that the PS5 DualSense controller will outperform the PS4 DualShock controller’s battery life by a whopping four hours. That’s big news for intense session gamers who need to decompress for long periods of time in front of their console and not want to waste time recharging. Nobody wants to break the smooth flow of their gameplay, a groove that sometimes takes a while to get into. Nothing worse than camping behind a target in Hitman II for twenty minutes after a one hour long set up to creep up behind them with a fiberwire all to be interrupted by the dreaded “please connect a controller” prompt. Might as well have read a book instead!

It’s also impressive considering the added features that the DualSense has, specifically the all new haptic feedback feature which game developers can harness to make the vibrations unique to each game, and the Adaptive triggers that will make pulling the string on a bow require a different amount of pressure than, say, firing a gun. The large controller will require 1560mA, significantly more than most controllers.

In this video we’re also going to talk about the GTA V Los Santos Online Summer DLC pack and point out where Niko Belic from GTA IV fits in, some all new trailer recaps, and a little ditty about the price and release date based on the PS3 and PS4 release dates and prices. Enjoy!
