US actor Morgan Freeman made a surprise appearance at the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony on Sunday, November 20 with a message of inclusion to all football fans.
Freeman narrated the opening segment titled ‘The Calling’ as fans arrived in Doha city centre for the start of the world’s biggest football festival.
Jung Kook, frontman of the South Korean band BTS, also thrilled fans inside the Al Bayt Stadium with a performance of the World Cup anthem ‘Dreamers.’
