Meyhem Lauren is back in the Munchies Test Kitchen to make a quesadilla unlike any you’ve had before. The inspiration for these flavor-packed quesadillas came from Meyhem’s love of chimis, which are Dominican hamburgers, and his desire to create a culinary bridge between Mexican and Dominican cultures.
But chimis aren’t the only filling in these quesadillas, they’re also packed with pollo guisado, oxacan cheese, and smashed fried plantains for a truly unique and decadent meal. Meyhem makes all this while sipping on Mama Juana, a Dominican drink consisting of soaking rum, wine and honey in tree bark and herbs.
