Mediterranean deaths: Yvette Cooper on British migrant policy

As many as 700 migrants are feared dead after their boat capsized in the Mediterranean. If the death toll is confirmed, it will bring to 1,500 the total number of people who died this year seeking to reach Europe.

Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper tells Channel 4 News that the British government was wrong to withdraw from the European search and rescue programme in the Mediterranean.
