With the Avengers having famously formed in Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Guardians of the Galaxy having come together in Phase Two, it really is about time another team came together in the franchise.
Phase Three of the MCU hasn’t seen the addition of any major new super-teams, but that’s probably because there’s been enough going on to keep fans interested anyway.
In the aftermath of a huge event like the Infinity War, some big things needs to happen – and we believe the formation of the incredibly powerful group known as the Annihilators could be one of those things.
In this video, we’ll tell you why we believe the cosmic team of heroes will be the Avengers of the MCU’s fourth phase.
The team consists of Ronan the Accuser, Cosmo the Spacedog, Beta Ray Bill, Nova, Quasar, Ikon, Gladiator and the Silver Surfer – and we have reason to believe all of those characters are on their way to the incredibly popular franchise (whether it’s because they’ve already appeared, because they’ve clearly been hinted at, or because it just makes sense for them to appear). It also makes sense in the midst of a string of universe-threatening events in the MCU – given that the Annihilators’ purpose is to prevent them.
