If you still haven’t seen this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp (which is particularly understandable if you live somewhere like the United Kingdom, where its release date is much later than it was in the United States), or even Avengers: Infinity War, we suggest you don’t watch this video or read on any further.
Most Marvel Cinematic Universe fans expected Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp character to play a major part in the fourth Avengers movie, but anyone who’s seen Ant-Man and the Wasp knows that’s looking extremely unlikely at present.
Given the truly shocking events of that movie – specifically those that occurred the movie’s mid-credits scene, when she fell victim to Thanos’ devastating finger snap – it’s hard to imagine how the Wasp could possibly play a part in the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, but this video will theorise how she could still do exactly that.
The idea is that Scott Lang – with some help from another MCU hero like Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange or Tony Stark – will travel back in time and retrospectively get the Wasp involved in all Avengers activity since the team was first formed in 2012 (the Battle of New York, the fight against Ultron and his drones in Sokovia, or whatever other conflicts the Avengers took part in in the newly-created timeline).
