The Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU for short has encompassed so many different aspects of the Marvel world, we constantly get our fill, but there’s always been one thing missing: mutants. The X-Men and even the word mutant is not allowed in the MCU, giving a huge hole over these past several years. With the 20th Century Fox and Disney merger almost a done deal, people are extremely excited to see what the MCU has in store for the formation of the X-Men. Many viewers paying close attention to The Ant-Man and the Wasp may have already found some of the first references in the form of Janet van Dyne.
Janet’s journey in the Quantum Realm is not just about reuniting with her family, but it could have ramifications on the whole MCU. Certain phrases, features, and powers showcase Janet’s abilities and make her look even closer to an X-Men than we can imagine. If the theory pans out, then we could have an organic X-Men story built right into the MCU. How great would it be to see Wolverine do battle alongside Iron Man and Spider-Man?!
