Uncle Al & Jack review the new Mark Whalberg, Dwane “The Rock” Johnson, Michael Bay bodybuilder-comedy-thriller, Pain & Gain official trailer on Trailer Hitch. Uncle Al doesn’t know that this movie is based on a true story about bodybuilders who decide to rip off a gangster.
Instead, ol’ Al’s convinced Mark Whalberg plays an undercover super-cop who doesn’t need body armor to fight bad guys. Upon seeing Tony Shalhoub in the film, he keeps calling him “Monk” and thinks it’s a “Monk-movie”. When the would-be robbers disguise themselves as superheros to pull their heist, Uncle Al thinks it’s a movie about “Green Spiderman”!? Jack is more upset with Michael Bay’s use of his same old visual eye candy, while Uncle Al
argues that the fact that his films have made billions, makes them great. By his standards, Jack argues, Two and a Half Men is brilliant!
With references to The Fighter, Miami Dolphins’ Dan Marino, Zero Dark Thirty, Spiderman, Nancy Grace, Monk and Batman comic books.
