As the inquiry into the killings of 34 miners in Marikana reaches its final phase, the Bishop of Pretoria says people are not safe in post-apartheid South Africa because the government is failing to protect them. He tells Channel 4 News: “In apartheid at least we knew who the enemy was. Today we don’t know because it’s one of ours.”
