London’s first female fire chief Dany Cotton retires

Firefighters have formed a guard of honour for London’s first female fire chief, who has retired after 32 years of service.

London Fire Brigade commissioner Dany Cotton had been due to retire in April 2020, but stepped down earlier than expected in the wake of criticism over the Grenfell Tower fire.
