What’s it like to live next to an active volcano? Living by a frequently erupting volcano is both amazing and unnerving for the residents on the island of Stromboli, Italy. This landmark off the coast of Sicily is constantly spewing gases and creating small explosions and tremors. While the volcano makes residents uneasy, it is also part of the local identity.
