Hey everyone! We’re giving you early spoiler alert with this one: If you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War and don’t want to know what happened, do not watch this video and stop reading this text immediately.
The third Avengers offering provided us with a number of surprises that both delighted us and shocked us to our very core – but none of those surprises were bigger than the one that saw a certain Captain America villain return to the big screen.
The Red Skull AKA the Nazi leader of HYDRA Johann Schmidt was last seen in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger – and he appeared to die when he touched the Tesseract with his gloved hand – but, as it turned out, he was actually transported across the universe to the planet Vormir, where he became the keeper of the Soul Stone.
In this video, we’ll theorise exactly what happened to him in between the events of The First Avenger and Infinity War.
Could Odin have been responsible for his banishment to Vormir? Could he now be immortal? Could he have been transformed into the MCU’s version of Death? Is he the MCU’s version of The Unseen like Nick Fury was in the comics?
