Ex-Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn flees Japan to Lebanon

The former chairman of Nissan, who has been awaiting trial in Japan, says he has “escaped injustice and political persecution” after travelling to Lebanon.

Carlos Ghosn is due to face trial in April on charges of financial misconduct. He surrendered his passport when he was granted bail in March.
