EU and UK agree Brexit deal

The body language could hardly be more different.

A British prime minister high-fiving a European colleague as he welcomed what he called a “great new” Brexit deal.

Boris Johnson said the “anti-democratic” Irish backstop had been abolished, but it’s replacement, which will create customs checks between Britain and Northern Ireland has been rejected by his now former allies, the DUP.

They said they won’t vote for the deal in Parliament and nor will Labour.

They were warned though by the European Commission president that there will not be another Brexit extension.
