Welcome to the DC Comics Art Academy, a series of art tutorials recorded at Comic-Cons throughout 2015 and featuring many of the gifted and unique artists working for DC today. In today’s installment, celebrated illustrator Jill Thompson shows how she creates comics using her signature watercolors by drawing a character for which she’s become known—The Sandman. Utilizing tools and processes not typically used in comic art, it’s a truly unique demonstration caught at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
