It’s September 26, 1864 – and racial tensions in Five Points are coming to a head as the body of an Irishman is discovered lynched and hanged. While all evidence points toward a black pastor as the murderer, Detective Kevin Corcoran (TOM WESTON-JONES, MI-5) has doubts.
As the people of New York cry for a hanging, Corcoran is forced to question every piece of evidence with the help of Doctor Matthew Freeman (ATO ESSANDOH, Damages). The Morehouse family attempts to capitalize on the situation by eyeing new parcels of land in the Points that may become available if the city panics.
Meanwhile, the search for Corcoran’s missing wife unexpectedly lands in the hands of Eva Heissen (FRANKA POTENTE, The Bourne Supremacy, Run Lola Run) – though Corcoran is entirely unaware.

COPPER is a gripping crime series set in 1860s New York City, and centers on Kevin Corcoran, an intense, rugged Irish-immigrant cop working the city’s notorious Five Points neighborhood. Corcoran is struggling to maintain his moral compass in a turbulent world while on an emotional and relentless quest to learn the truth about the disappearance of his wife and the death of his daughter.
