Civil war breaks out inside the Labour Party

The Labour leader has called for a ‘period of reflection’ for the party to work out how to respond to its worst election defeat since 1935.

Those recriminations have burst out in public.

That provoked an angry response from many supporters, ranging from defeated Labour candidates to trade union leaders.
