Lib Dem MP Chuka Umunna has explained to Sophy Ridge his party’s counter-offer to the Prime Minister on a pre-Christmas election.
He said: “Ultimately we have to pass this back to the people.”
Challenged as to whether an election will lead to Jeremy Corbyn becoming Prime Minister, the former Labour MP added: “No one knows what will happen at that election.”
