The New Mutants movie is set for an August 2019 release and will be the first horror movie in Fox’s excellent X-Men superhero movie franchise.
The movie will star the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt and Alice Braga and, quite frankly, it looks amazing.
In this video, we’ll be taking you through just some of the most interesting fan theories that have been conceived in relation to it.
The theories in question are; that the New Mutants will actually be the first mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), that it will be a genuinely scary movie (even by horror standards), that it will be an origin story for the New Mutants, that it will come complete with an important message, that the secure facility in which the New Mutants are being held is actually an Essex Corp facility, that mutants aren’t actually hated in the world in which the movie is set, that there’ll be some cameos from the more established X-Men franchise characters in the movie, that it will have a number of parallels with the classic horror franchise “A Nightmare on Elm Street”, and that there’ll be another major villain in addition to the mysterious and terrifying Demon Bear character.
